Only Sisters School District staff knows the unique needs of our teachers and students. Built on openness in every way, the Canvas Learning Management Platform helps the Sisters School District create a custom K–12 learning environment to equitably scale student achievement. Whatever the learning initiative, Canvas is here to support and connect it—from scaled curriculum and formative assessment to showcased learning and teacher development.
From learning to read to reading to learn, Canvas supports teachers in improving student achievement for everyone, from the littlest learners to college-bound seniors and beyond. Canvas provides familiar, consistent learning tools during the entire student experience. Canvas provides the right learning environment at the right time, offering a virtual classroom that grows and adapts along with each of our schools.
Think of a learning management system (LMS) as a virtual classroom, where teachers create, store, share, and communicate. While our Tyler-SIS is our system of record, the Canvas LMS is the online environment that simplifies and enhances the teaching and learning experience.
