Sisters Science ClubALEKS Corporation is a leader in the creation of Web-based, artificially intelligent, educational software. ALEKS assessment and learning technologies were originally developed by a team of cognitive scientists and software engineers at the University of California, Irvine, with major funding from the National Science Foundation. ALEKS is founded on groundbreaking research in mathematical cognitive science known as Knowledge Space Theory. Through adaptive questioning, ALEKS accurately assesses a student’s knowledge state and then delivers targeted instruction on the exact topics the student is most ready to learn.

Education Program for Gifted Youth
The Education Program for Gifted Youth (EPGY) at Stanford University is a continuing project dedicated to developing and offering multimedia computer-based distance-learning courses. Combining technical and instructional expertise, EPGY provides high-ability students of all ages with an individualized educational experience, optimized in both pace and content. Through EPGY, students have access to courses in a variety of subjects at levels ranging from kindergarten through advanced-undergraduate. Since its inception over 50,000 students from 35 countries have taken courses from EPGY.

Oregon Association for Talented and Gifted
OATAG is the Oregon Association for Talented and Gifted, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting gifted education in Oregon. They exist to support families with children (or adults!) who have been identified as Gifted and Talented, as well as those who are high-performting and those with the potential to be identified as Talented and Gifted.

Singapore Math
Singapore (the country) astonished educators by the very high performance of its students in the TIMSS (Third International Math and Science) tests–the international equivalent of NAEP in 1995 and again in 1999. Some people wondered what they were doing right and decided to take a look at the curriculum they were actually using in Singapore schools. Singapore students are taught in English. A company here in Oregon City decided to make these books available to American families and they have become very popular with TAG families and homeschooling families across the country. A few school districts have experimented with the series and have had very good results.

SK Online Vitual High School
As an instructional program of Salem-Keizer Public Schools in Salem, Oregon, SK Online courses carry full accreditation through Northwest Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities. Their instructors are fully qualified in their subject areas and licensed by the State of Oregon.

Southern Oregon University – Pre-College / Youth Programs
ACADEMY is an enrichment program for students who can benefit from challenges beyond the standard school curriculum. If your child is identified as talented and gifted by his or her school, information about ACADEMY may be sent home from school.

University of Oregon – Youth Enrichment and Talented & Gifted Programs
Youth Enrichment and Talented & Gifted programs and services (YE/TAG) is a community outreach unit of the University of Oregon’s College of Education. YE/TAG serves pre-collegiate youth and their families throughout the state of Oregon, with special focus on those residing in Lane County.
